Climate Summit in Bhutan unlikely

The regional climate summit in Bhutan is uncertain what the Prime Minister of two neighbouring countries that are ? ? Bangladesh and India in a dilemma it due to the tight schedule join, a highly placed source said.

?The Prime Minister is still in a dilemma, whether they regional summit or not to join are the source, with reference to the Foreign Ministry said ?.

The Indian premier is also behind its schedule to the six-day summit is to begin on 14 November.

Bhutan, the host of the Conference with Bangladesh, India and Nepal, is still optimistic about the event.

In the meantime, several meetings at a high level between the parties were ahead of the Summit.

Also, a 10-year plan, as adopted at the Summit on food, water, energy and biological diversity are declared.

The Himalayan Nations decided to take the timetable in the ministerial meeting of August 2010 adaptation of people to the effects of climate change in Nepal.

The roadmap contains adaptation to climate change in the Eastern Himalayan sub-region to food, to ensure water and energy security, respecting biodiversity and ecosystem services.

The four countries have already submitted their individual timetable for food, water, energy and biological diversity in the host country.

The Summit should also accept from partner countries, ensure institutions and individuals for funds and cooperation in the implementation of the roadmap.

It effective regional expert groups will set up also, to advise Governments in implementing the roadmap and new challenges.

Some cross-cutting issues such as health and disaster risks to climate change in the region are to dominate the agenda also.
